I have worked in the high tech industry for over 14 years before I decided to be my own boss!
Being a very thorough engineer/consultant with high mathematical skills, I enjoyed seeing my designs put into practice and solve customer problems which meant we got repeat business time after time from our happy customers. The whole idea of dealing with clients, advising them on best solutions and making them richer and happier made me think that I would like to become my own boss one day as business was always in my blood.
I came to the UK with less than £1000 in my pocket to do my bachelor’s degree, and was very unfortunate to be let down by my own relatives who sponsored me to come to this country to study. With the blessings of GOD and my parents, I had to work 3 to 4 jobs a day to earn money to pay for my tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses. It was really hard work but with sheer determination of not letting anything in my way to get my degree, I worked tirelessly day and night for 3 years and successfully finished my degree with flying colors, and came first in the whole university and was awarded an IET award for my outstanding achievement. It was during this very tough period when my entrepreneurial skills helped me juggle my several jobs, studies and life and I quickly realized that I was good at it and could do something in life!
After university, I worked for several big companies gaining experience in the electronics world but I always wanted to have my own business and be my own boss! I started my property investment journey in 2005 while still in my full time employment . I bought a 2 bed house on a BTL mortgage, and enjoyed every bit of it and decided that this is what I want to do in long term. I slowly, but surely was buying and adding properties to my portfolio while still working full time, and also doing my masters’ degree in London which I passed with distinction. It was hard to juggle family life, employment, business and education at the same time, but juggling things seems to be my second nature even up to date, as I get bored very quickly if my brain doesn’t get challenged!
Fast forwarding my story, today I am a successful property investor, entrepreneur and a landlord with a large portfolio of properties worth millions of pounds, that return me good capital appreciation (Location Location Location) and very good cash flow! I am continuously increasing my property portfolio AND now have decided to share my secrets and help other to achieve their dreams in the same way as I did mine i.e. BE YOUR OWN BOSS AND BECOME FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT!
